We invested in the things that help communities grow: better
roads, more housing, land titles, access to water and electricity, and
reliable transportation. These are the fundamental aspects that
enhance life and connect Jamaicans to opportunities.
Here is what we have done:
● Over 23,500 Jamaicans have received land titles,
granting them legal ownership and the ability to build,
farm, or pass the property down to their families. We
created a new system that makes it faster and easier to get
titles, and we are just getting started.
● More people now own a home. We reduced NHT interest
rates and increased the amount contributors can borrow
or get in grants. That means more young people, nurses,
teachers, and police of昀椀cers are 昀椀nally able to buy their own
homes.
● Over 20,000 new housing solutions have been built
through the NHT and other agencies, with thousands more
on the way.
● More than 300 homes were delivered to struggling
families through the New Social Housing Programme,
providing over 1,000 Jamaicans with a fresh start and a roof
over their heads.
