GOVERNMENT TO
SERVE YOU BETTER
We made signi昀椀cant changes to how the government operates,
reducing waste, combating corruption, and enhancing the system’s
transparency and ef昀椀ciency. We raised the standard so that public
service truly means serving the people
Here is what we have done:
● Started the process to make Jamaica a Republic, with
public consultation and a full review of the laws, putting
more power in the hands of Jamaicans.
● Created the new Parish of Portmore, the 昀椀rst new parish
in over 100 years, giving the people of Portmore their own
voice and resources.
● Made the Bank of Jamaica independent, and created a
new Fiscal Commission and Research Centre to keep the
economy strong and well-managed.
● Set up and funded the Integrity Commission to 昀椀ght
corruption and hold leaders accountable.
● Appointed a Minister for Ef昀椀ciency and Innovation,
