Jamaica will always face natural disasters, but we are better
prepared than ever. We planned ahead, acted quickly during
emergencies, and rebuilt stronger so that the country can bounce
back more quickly and stay safer in the future.
Here is what we have done:
● Responded to Hurricane Beryl with J$5 billion in support for
affected Jamaicans, and we did it without borrowing a cent.
● Created a National Natural Disaster Fund, so the country
has money ready for emergencies like storms, 昀氀oods, or
earthquakes.
