INVESTING IN
YOUTH, TALENT AND
OPPORTUNITY
We believe in more than just talk. We backed our young people,
creatives, and athletes with real support, training, jobs, funding,
and spaces to grow. Because when Jamaican youth win, the whole
country moves forward.
Here is what we delivered:
● Trained over 6,000 young people through the Jamaica
National Service Corps, giving them discipline, skills, and
direction.
● Gave more than 550,000 Jamaicans access to free
training from HEART/NSTA Trust since 2020, all the way up
to associate degree level.
● Created jobs and skills training opportunities for
thousands of young people through the LIFT and YSEP
programmes.
● Introduced the 昀椀rst-ever health and life insurance plans
for registered entertainers, creatives, and athletes, so they
are protected and valued.
● Set up a J$1 billion Jamaica Screen Development Fund
to support local 昀椀lm and video production, building the
entertainment industry from the ground up.
● Created a national artiste registry so creatives can get
help in times of crisis and access bene昀椀ts.
● Designated special Entertainment Zones to support
events and festivals, starting with Fort Rocky and
JamWorld.
