● Trained and hired over 1,000 community health aides,
who now help with public health and wellness in towns
and communities.
● Introduced electronic health records in 13 major
facilities, making patient information easier to manage
and reducing wait time.
● Performed Jamaica’s 昀椀rst robotic surgery at May Pen
Hospital, showing real progress in medical technology.
● Installed modern CT scanners and upgraded operating
theatres at Kingston Public Hospital.
● Near completion of the 昀椀rst Children’s and Adolescent
Hospital in the English-speaking Caribbean marks a
major step forward for our youth.
● Major hospital upgrades at Chapelton, Bustamante,
Spanish Town, May Pen, UHWI, and Cornwall Regional.
● Building a home for parents at Bustamante Hospital, so
they can stay close while their children receive care.
● 600 government scholarships awarded to health
workers, helping doctors, nurses, and technicians further
their studies and improve care.
● Created over 3,000 new medical and nursing jobs,
strengthening health care across Jamaica.
