Here is what we have done so far:
● Murders have gone down by almost 45 per cent as of June
2025, the lowest in years, and part of a steady three-year
decline.
● Over 6,000 new police of昀椀cers have been added since
2018, bringing the total force to 14,000, the most ever.
● Gangs are being dismantled, and guns are being taken off
the streets. In 2025 alone, half of all known gangs were shut
down, and illegal gun seizures doubled.
● More than 1,800 new police vehicles have been added, so
police can respond faster across the island.
● Police have been given modern tools and technology to
help solve crimes and keep communities safe.
● Over 150 police stations have been upgraded, and six new
ones have been built, making the police more accessible
and professional.
● Domestic Violence Units have been set up at 10 police
stations so that victims can report abuse in a safe,
supportive space.
● Tougher laws were introduced to deal with gangs,
cybercrime, and organised crime.
● The Jamaica Defence Force has been strengthened with
5,000 additional soldiers and new equipment for land, air,
and sea operations.
● MOCA receives increased support, and laws are updated
to better combat money laundering and corruption.
● Prison reform started. A new Corrections Policy was
